COLMORE: A LEAP FORWARD IN PORTFOLIO REPORTING

Colmore was created to solve a problem: the lack of access to real-time investor information for investors in the closed end funds industry, such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure and debt funds. Launched in January 2017, Colmore provides bespoke reporting for investors in alternative funds, through a unique technology platform.

Colmore evolved out of the former portfolio servicing function within Capital Dynamics, a global private asset manager. This insider perspective has enabled Colmore to develop a market-leading approach to portfolio monitoring, analytics and data transparency. With 50 professionals across offices in the UK, Switzerland and the US, Colmore already services over 1000 accounts on behalf of a wide range of clients, from large institutions to individual investors.

Ben Cook leads Colmore, bringing with him a passion for client service and over 20 years’ experience in investment operations, tax planning and alternative assets fund administration. He was previously Managing Director at Ipes London, successfully building a best-in-class depository and administration operation.

“Colmore’s advanced technology platform provides investors with a leap forward in portfolio reporting and market-leading insight into their fund investments. At Colmore, we can support both funds and their investors. I am delighted to join the company at this exciting time,” says Ben Cook.

Commenting on the launch of Colmore, Thomas Kubr, Founder of Capital Dynamics and Chairman of Colmore, says: “Capital Dynamics has a long-standing tradition of innovation in product and business development, and the creation of Colmore as a standalone business is a natural consequence of that culture of thinking beyond the status quo. We have spent a considerable amount of time and energy over the years ensuring that our team is best of breed. It is the right time to launch Colmore for both existing and new clients.”

Cook adds: “From the outset, Colmore has a footprint as a world-class portfolio servicing business. With our combination of experience, international talent and technical know-how, the Colmore team can deliver tailored services for complex mandates. We can’t wait to bring the solutions that Capital Dynamics’ clients have had access to for some time to a wider audience.”
